"A Man Never Stands So Tall As When Kneeling To Help A Child"

Christmas Experience

"Tis the season to give"...and that's exactly what the Active 20-30 Club of Bakersfield does best. The Club’s annual event the "Christmas Experience" aims to provide in-need families with a Christmas they couldn’t otherwise have.  Each year, through the assistance and generosity of the people and businesses in the community, our Christmas Experience touches the lives of dozens of families and hundreds of children.

The Club provides wrapped presents for every child, plus a food voucher and Christmas tree.  Annually the club raises over $35,000 for this event, all of which goes to the community. After all of the funds are raised, the 20-30 Club teams up with several other organizations to shop, wrap and deliver the hundreds of gifts to needy families in Kern County.  Last year, we were able to provide Christmas to nearly 350 children!

Christmas includes:
  • $100 in gifts per child
  • Christmas Tree with ornaments (1 per family)
  • Food gift card (1 per family)

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Children in the family must be under 18 years of age
  • The Family should have a significant financial need
  • The Family must be located within Kern County

This year, our goal is to continue in that same tradition—and we need your help. We are inviting you to join us as a sponsor for Christmas Experience either through monetary donation or as a volunteer.

Donations may be made via any Club Member or mailed to the clubs P.O. Box.

"Thank you for your kindness and generosity. Because of your help my son and myself were able to celebrate this past Christmas with a tree and the wonderful presents you provided us. I am extremely thankful and blessed and will always remember the very special way you helped me when I was down to help give my little guy a Christmas to remember.  Thank you, Laura and Gabriel Deatherage"

Thank you letter:
